Junior Quantitative Analyst - Vienna

Summary

BlueBalance Capital is an independent, owner-managed alternative asset management company based in Vienna. The firm specializes in an investment approach that seeks to monetize dislocations, behavioural biases and relative value in derivatives markets. Our founding partners have extensive experience in derivatives from both a buy-side as well as sell-side perspective. We are looking for a part-time quantitative financial analyst (either as a long-term internship or part-time employment) to join our portfolio management team in Vienna.

Role

• You deep dive into data analysis with an enthusiasm to solve challenging problem
• You support our team building our quant technology infrastructure
• You are involved in the team's day-to-day tasks such as screening & analysis of investment ideas, pre- and post-processing of transactions, implementing pricing models, communication with investment banks and business partners

Requirements

• Studying finance, financial engineering, math, computer science or other STEM degree, preferably having completed an undergraduate degree
• Programming skills are beneficial
• Excellent numerical skills and the ability to communicate results clearly and effectively
• A strong interest in financial markets and at least a basic understanding of derivative instruments
